Inside the package

Realistic AI traffic for HORIZON ISLAND. The mod ships pre-tuned spawn density and lane data; the actual cars are driven live by the 2REAL Traffic Tool (2REAL App), which lets you adjust traffic density, spawn rules and behaviors while you drive.

With this mod installed, Horizon Island fills up with AI traffic that actually drives — not just rolls down splines. The 2REAL Traffic Tool (2REAL App) handles lane changes, indicators, brake lights and spawn density; the mod just tells it where the lanes are.

About Horizon Island

Testing

How it works with the 2REAL Traffic Tool (2REAL App)

The 2REAL Traffic Tool (2REAL App) is the engine that powers traffic and pedestrian behavior at runtime. For Horizon Island, these App features are particularly relevant:

How to install

  1. Install 2REAL Traffic Tool (2REAL App) (drag the App package into Content Manager).
  2. Install the base map: Horizon Island.
  3. Place the included traffic.json into the track's /data folder (e.g. assettocorsa/content/tracks/Horizon_Island/...).
  4. Launch Assetto Corsa, load the track in Practice mode, and open the 2REAL Traffic Tool (2REAL App) in-game.
  5. Tune density, lane behavior and other settings from the in-game phone UI.

Frequently asked questions

Does this mod require the 2REAL Traffic Tool (2REAL App)?

Yes. The traffic and pedestrian behavior is driven by the 2REAL Traffic Tool (2REAL App). The mod ships the spline data; the App spawns and animates the AI at runtime.

Can I limit which cars spawn in the AI traffic?

Yes — use the Car List Editor in the App to control which cars are eligible to spawn. Useful if you want region-appropriate cars for Horizon Island.

Does this mod modify the base map's geometry?

No. The mod only adds spline and spawn data into the track's /data folder. The base map stays untouched, so you can disable the mod by removing the JSON files without affecting anything else.

Is it compatible with the pedestrian mod for the same track?

Yes. Traffic and pedestrian mods are separate files that share the same /data folder — install both and they work together. Running both gives the most realistic city feel.

Is this Patreon-exclusive or free?

Most 2REAL mods are tied to a tier on Patreon — the download button on this page checks your access automatically once you log in. Some mods are free; the button will reflect what tier (if any) is required.
