Hey Guys, I want to share some insight with you on the upcoming 2.1 update for 2Real Traffic Tool. I will also share some more detail on what to expect for further upcoming releases, its possible that not everything mentioned here will make it in the 2.1 release.
Realtime Traffic-Density:
speed, density & amount of traffic can change automatically, depending on time of day
this will also affect vehicle types (less commercial vehicles in rushhour, more trucks & racers around midnight)
Lane-Amount based Traffic Density:
depending of amount of lanes, traffic can be dynamically reduced (example: if you drive with heavy traffic on a highway and then drive off to a normal road, usually with heavy traffic the normal road will be filled with too many cars. This feature would fix that, so you don't need to make traffic settings changes everytime you leave/enter a highway.
No Trucks in Fast-Lanes:
trucks & bigger vehicles will avoid fast lanes & only drive on slower lanes, if available.
Traffic-Jam Button:
lower traffic cars speed and make different lane speeds more equal
one slider to set max speed for all lanes (cars will then randomize speed +-20% to the set speed)
Jam-Intensity slider (0 -> cars will drive smoothly, 100 -> cars will occasionally brake check or speed up)
blinkers for traffic cars (blinking on lanechange or while waiting at intersection)
optimization & advanced vehicle destruction: parts can fly off, glass can shatter
animated people sitting inside the vehicles (animated reactions, possibility to fly out of car in crashes)
new pitch physics (cars will adjust pitch/tilt depending on surface or acceleration)
more formation-maneuvers & tactics for police
police-pedestrians: they can call cop cars when seeing you & will rush towards you in a chase
better movement for police-helicopter
new animation types (pedestrians interacting with each other or the map)
player model color matching car color
better traffic integration (pedestrians waiting at intersections / cars waiting for pedestrians)
new models? (the models might be entirely replaced in the future by much more realistic looking ones)
scripted or dynamic events that can happen while driving
for example:
car crash / crashed car on road
police control stop on the shoulder lane
blocked lane sections due to roadworks, including roadwork objects on those lanes
Fixes:
clean-up problems after reloading traffic solved
cars stopping to spawn solved
chat-message issue solved
online traffic rollback - sync issue will be fixed, new implementation for 2real online is in the works
As you can see, the upcoming update will mostly focus on improving essential systems, with some new features for more immersion and better realism. The 1.9 and 2.0 version brought a ton of new system that will be advanced and optimized much further, so be excited for the upcoming changes & new features :)
